Certificate of Origin

A Certificate of Origin (CO) is a document which is used for certification to determine where the products are originated from, the exported products can be wholly obtained, processed or manufactured in the country from which the goods originated. TCCIA is the only organization permitted to issue Certificate of Origin with government of Tanzania.

The chamber issues documentation and prepares letters of introduction to its members to other regional Chambers within the EAC & SADC as well as international chamber, offers certificates of origin and other documents. These are very essential documents that can be very taxing to obtain through the usual channels but the chamber offers a more relaxed, faster and efficient approach to obtain all relevant documentation. TCCIA is one of the few agencies in the country that are able to issue traders with Certificate of Origin. This is a very essential role since traders cannot export commodities without this document; therefore Chamber plays a major role in the documentation process of trade in the country. Also Chamber offers these certificates at a supported price in a hustle free environment to its clients. This is because we appreciate the role of the business community to the development of the country, region, and international level and we realize the importance of issuing trade documents in the shortest time possible.
